John McCain Aide Says "Sarah's a Diva!"

Reportedly, campaign tension has hit the fan with Senator John McCain allegedly blaming his new running mate Sarah Palin, for his recent failures.

One McCain camp adviser had this to say about Palin,“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” the adviser told CNN.

“She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

But if she is a diva, is it fair to say the McCain camp made her that way?

When the former governor of Alaska came on board the John McCain campaign train, she was given a 200 thousand dollar clothing allowance and a make-up artist that was the highest paid of all the McCain staff members. Also, if Mrs. Palin is having trust issues with everyone, how do they expect her to be a team player with the man she'll be answering to quite often?

Its been said that Sarah Palin goes rogue and more often than not, she steers away from John McCain's campaign message while inputting her own.

Apparently, she condemned McCain's robo calling tactics -- commenting that it was just politics as usual. And she even suggested that if she had it her way, she'd have sat around kitchen tables talking to American families.

Another clash between the running mates was when she announced her approval to use natural resources like ethanol, which McCain had already went on the record in opposition of ethanol use. Moreover, Senator Obama is for using ethanol, which makes it seem as if Palin sides with her competition.

Even Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News who interviewed the republican duo, described them as "tense" and "uncomfortable." In the reporters words, "It was like taking  two complete strangers off the street and sitting them next to each other."

Can we attribute the tension within the republican campaign, to the fact that Sarah Palin was never properly vetted?

Although Senator McCain's chief strategist Steve Schmidt strongly recommended Palin, maybe he should have gone with Mayor Michael Bloomberg since he was already at the top of the list? Govenor Palin was never on John McCain's short list of VP picks, and her vetting was purely spur of the moment.

Rumors began swirling about if the Arizona resident would replace his Alaskan side-kick with someone else, especially when McCain made an unusual live appearance off the campaign trail with former CEO of EBAY Meg Whitman who (John McCain said he'd make his Secretary of the Treasury) stood to his right, and business man Mitt Romney who stood to his left.

Furthermore, McCains' grimacing and smirking as he mouthed the words the "McCain/Palin administration" when addressing the public, truly showed the disdain that he felt about the combination. And if he were to drop her name from the ticket, his judgement and leadership abilities would seriously be in question.

Due to the obvious tension within the republican campaign, maybe that's why Governor Palin decided to go rogue?

Maybe she feels they're going to lose the election and she'd rather create a long-term opportunity for herself? Whatever the motives, if there are any, hopefully everybody can play it cool until after the election.
