Nuns On The Bus Are Fired Up!

The horrific Paul Ryan economic plan - one that Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney, proposes to implement the first day he's in The White House was enough to ignite a flame under a certain charitable group; nuns.

New organized group leader and executive director Sister Simone Campbell (seen above-l), leads a crew of her Catholic sisters on a bus called, 'Nuns on the Bus'.

After hearing Congressman Ryan's (R-WI) new Republican economic plan to get the country back on track, a group of Catholic nuns decided that it was time to intervene for the sake of the American people, in which they began their bus tour in Des Moines, Iowa, and will travel across the nation with their final destination being The White House in Washington, D.C.

On their travels they'll stop at homeless shelters, food pantries, and hospitals, to shed light on their work for the poor as well as the oppressive nature of the Republicans.

The nuns already had their first stop to Rep. Steve King's office (R-IA), who for some reason avoided the set appointment he made with the Catholic nuns; arriving at King's office only to find locked doors and darkness inside.

An economic plan called 'Faithful Budget' was one that the Catholic nuns, had hoped they could share with Congressman King during their meeting - but to no avail. The 'Faithful Budget' calls for increased aid to the poor as well as cuts to military spending, which the nuns plan to propose as a better option to the Ryan Budget.

Arriving in Congressman Ryan's state of Wisconsin, the Catholic nuns protested against his economic plan to oppress the American people, and will make their way over to his office to speak about his proposed budget since he confesses that it was "articulated" from his Catholic faith based principles.

Do you think Paul Ryan, will meet with the Catholic nuns?

Sister Simone Campbell had this to say about Paul Ryan, on 'The Ed Schultz' show on MSNBC,

"Well it maybe what his faith tells him, but he certainly doesn't know the fullness of faith. He only talks about individual responsibility and that's only half the story."

Sister Campbell went on to say, "We have to have each others back, that's what Christianity is all about. Ryan is wrong in his faith."

Sister Campbell made the public aware that her Catholic Bishops, also feel that the GOP's budget plan is immoral and goes against America's social standards, to which the Sister sternly stated, "It's not what Jesus would do!"

Inequality still thrives within our American society, and although this kind of injustice has always been interlaced throughout our American history; President Obama's win to The White House has rigorously ramped up the oppressive actions by the right wing, and so much so that its become historical.

Will any Catholic Bishops join the 'Nuns on the Bus' tour to help spread the word? I wonder...

Hopefully, The House Speaker John Boehner has his I's dotted and T's crossed, because the sisters are on the way!
