Democrats or Republicans: Who Do You Trust?

Can the American people trust either governing party since corruption seems to reside within both?

Currently, the GOP seem to have the worse rap with the majority of Americans as we firmly see their underlying motives. And Democrats are currently the party that the majority of Americans favor, mostly because they're for helping everybody. However, with the latest news regarding a few corrupt left-wingers as well as the extremism seen on the far-right, it often leaves citizens wondering who can they trust?

Moreover, when one party is highly praised over the other -- doesn't that leave room for the disregarded party to jump ship in order to save face and vice versa?

The latter is exactly what happened after our Democratic 36th President Lyndon B. Johnson, followed through on JFK's agenda of passing Civil Rights and Voting Rights so that equality could prevail at the ballot box and within our American society.

LBJ was officially the last democratic president to receive 100 percent of the white vote as the Southern Dixiecrat's -- infuriated by the idea of equality among the races, "jumped ship" to the radical republican side in order to "save face".

This sudden shift in parties where the ideology of both remained the same, resulted in confusing Americans who saw one party as more liberal and/or conservative then the other. Even today you find people that say "republicans are great because they're the party of Lincoln."

However, what they fail to realize is when that dramatic shift in parties occurred it basically ousted the more moderate conservatives, and instead replaced them with radical Southern Democrats (new Republicans) who believed in free labor -- hence, slavery.

To this day there are still Southern Democrats that remain within the Democratic party, but it would seem that the majority rules in the GOP. But this is why the only way to vote for the right candidates is to do the research ourselves, as a means of putting too bed any doubts housed in our minds about the person that we elected into office.

It is our duty and our right -- as well as a privilege, to be able to exercise the right to vote with respect to our livelihoods and the livelihood of future generations, period.

So register here to vote for the upcoming elections.
