President Obama Weighs In On Marijuana Talks

President Obama's striking claim that marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol has perked up the ears of the entire nation.

And it doesn't hurt that the states of Washington and Colorado, have recently legalized the drug as recreational and open to the public with one dispensary in Colorado, making over a million dollars on its opening day!

The use of marijuana has been a constant argument since the 19th century, with the nations pharmaceutical companies in continuous opposition of the drug for fear of competition.

But historically speaking, no one has ever died from marijuana, no one has ever overdosed on marijuana, and although the effects of the drug are different for everyone -- it has never caused anyone to harm another individual.

Moreover, marijuana in the form of hemp has been used in common medicines for decades, as our 35th president John F. Kennedy, often used it for his constant back pain and even planned to nationally legalize it in his second term.

And with the nation still struggling to create jobs for economic relief, the idea of nationally legalizing the drug as a revenue generator doesn't seem to far off in thought. The majority of the country is for the legalization of marijuana and if the government is truly for the people and by the people, then it's safe to say that majority wins.
