Newt Gingrich Says "Poor Kids Should Become Janitors"

December 1, 2011 - At a campaign stop in Des Moines, Iowa, GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, commented that children in poor neighborhoods have, "no habits of working" and "no one around them works."

He then proceeded to call poor children, "future pimps and prostitutes" who only, "know how to make money illegally."

How can Newt assume that all poor children come from families that don't work? There is such a thing called "the working poor", which is when one person works 2-3 jobs trying to make ends meet.

As a person that comes from a family that is considered "the working poor", they're a perfect example of hardworking Americans who work all their lives but never sustain anything to show for it except hard callouses, high blood pressure, back pains, and stress.

But Newt has the answer to help poor children; put them to work by making them clean floors and bathrooms.

Screw their education and normal childhood experiences, just put them to work as if they were adults already. Don't give them internships in a work field of their choice, that would give them to much of an opportunity. Instead, make them clean like the future slaves they are to become, right Newt?

And this is the Republican presidential frontrunner? Republicans are currently voting for Newt Gingrich to become the next president of the United States of America, while he spews this kind of garbage?

Racism and hatred for poor people, and poor people of color, still strongly exist within America, as Republicans have indoctrinated the same thinking of Newt Gingrich, and the thought of having another racist bigot in the White House is very unsettling to me.

If Newt Gingrich won the presidency, I would leave the country until he was out of office. Some things are worth the sacrifice.
