ENOUGH!
"Everywhere I'm turning, nothing seems complete," as sung by legendary singer, Alicia Keys. As the sudden rise of hate crimes begin to take form recently after the election of President Obama, this particular verse spoke to me.
In Henry County, Georgia, at Rock Spring Elementary School a third grade teacher was reprimanded for hanging a picture of President Obama in her classroom. The teacher exclaimed it was her teaching tool to show students that having a black president was never possible in this country. However, school officials called her presidential pictures "political paraphernalia," and stated that the photos can only be applied to automobiles, not on clothing and especially not in classrooms.
The schools policies didn't reflect this sudden disregard of presidential history, but the school authority figures did suggest the hanging up of all presidents instead of just one -- which the teacher complied.

Did the school officials think that the students wouldn't have questions, after the teacher hung up all 43 presidents' pictures?
If nothing else it simply proves her claim that black people weren't allowed to become president. Moreover, the hanging of all 44 presidents' pictures will ignite the racism debate that school authorities tried to avoid. Questions of why isn't black history apart of their book and curriculum, may call into question the rewriting of America's history books as a means of reflecting past truths.

Recent reports from Long Island, New York, of swastikas being spray-painted over Obama signs and crosses being burned on Obama supporters front lawns in Hardwick, New Jersey, and Apolacan Township, Pennsylvania, is another example of how racists have been acting out to purposely ignite racist fires.
Another episode involves Jeffery Convoy and his crew of friends, who were wandering around a New York suburb looking for a minority to kill which resulted in the death of a Mexican man named Lucero, who was stabbed in the chest and beaten to death. Jeffrey Convoys' exact words were, "I wanna F*** up a Mexican."

Convoy only received manslaughter charges as his friends received even lighter charges, for intentionally murdering a person that did nothing to them. Why was the judge so easy on these guys?
Two Nazi Skinheads (seen-r) plotted to assassinate President-Elect Barack Obama, and thank goodness they were caught before the mission was carried out.
In court the two skinheads had the audacity to say that their indictment should be dismissed, because there were to many black people in the jury which didn't make the trial fair. EXCUSE ME!? Welcome to our America, pricks! Welcome to our system! The courts have always been rigged to not protect minorities and still are, because 9x out of 10, the judges were just as racist as the jury.
Judges run our entire judicial system and it's important to check into their backgrounds before assigning them a court. Immediate reform is desperately needed when it comes to picking our nations judges.
America's problem is that we always want to put the fire out after the house has burned down. For example, the Emmett Till case, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Bobby Kennedy, Medgar Evers, and the list goes on.

In Standish, Maine, a sign inside the Oak Hill general store read: "Osama Obama shotgun pool." Customer's could sign up to bet one dollar on a date that Obama would be killed. At the bottom of the board it was written, "Let's hope someone wins."
Mark Potok director of the intelligence project at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate crimes had this to say: "A large subset of white people in this country feel that they are losing everything they know, that the country their forefathers built has somehow been stolen."
But isn't the latter true of the forefathers, who stole American land from the indigenous people?
But isn't the latter true of the forefathers, who stole American land from the indigenous people?
Can one really harp on stolen land when that's exactly how this country originated? Would this then be called karma, or reaping what you sow? This country will probably get worse before it gets better because truths have been hidden for such a long time, but Barack Obama becoming president has completely popped the cork off the bottle and we're all waiting patiently on the sidelines, as the truths continue to spew out.
Hang on to your seats guys, we're in for a bumpy ride.
