Peanut Butter President Remains Silent Over Salmonella Outbreak

Stewart Parnell, the president and owner of PCA (Peanut Corp. America seen above) was allegedly subpoenaed to speak before congress February 11, 2009, with regards to the salmonella outbreak that infected many Americans.

Employees of the Georgia plant confessed to how filthy the facility is and gave examples of dead rats, bird feathers and roaches, being some of the horrible conditions under which they worked.

Although Mr. Parnell pleaded the 5th, the companies internal e-mails were disclosed by the House Committee in which one of Parnells' e-mails stated and I quote, "Turn those raw peanuts on the floor into money."

When it was reported that the peanuts were tainted and shouldn't be used a defiant Parnell replied back, "Turn them loose."

What CEO of a company that's supposed to have Americans best interest at heart, especially their health with regards to edible consumptions, what person simply says use the contaminated peanuts on the floor in order to make more money?

Currently, there have been 9 deaths and over 600 people sickened with 1800 peanut products being recalled, and today the PCA corporation decided to file for bankruptcy.

Mr. Parnell should be convicted for all 9 deaths related to the salmonella in his products, and he should be made to pay for the proper clean up of that facility using his personal assets.
