Follow The Leader To Washington

As I watch the GOP fall all over themselves in an attempt to save their party's brand, I've discovered that some members of the conservative movement don't appear to be that bright.

Granted there's Congress House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Minority Leader of the Senate Mitch McConnell, who appear more often than not to be the leaders of the party -- or the "supervisors" if you will.

But when the "supervisors" need to confer with their bosses, something tells me those discussions are with an outside party that isn't necessarily a colleague, get my drift? Koch Brothers? Rush Limbaugh?

What I'm trying to say is that republicans run their party like a business and not like government officials who were elected to bring their leadership skills as an asset, but like an agent in a call center who must learn scripts in order to conduct their job. Everyone has the same script and everyone acts as a cohesive unit; like military officers on the battle field in war.

From experience working within corporations, I've learned that cronyism takes place more often than not.

Por ejemplo: If you were ever interviewed for a promotion and wondered why someone under qualified got the position over you -- a qualified candidate, then chances are "cronyism" took place.

I remember vividly listening to Senator John McCain, debating fiercely on the 2008 campaign trail against then Senator Obama, that there was to much "cronyism" within his party. As a matter of fact McCain's words from his second debate were in fact,

"Because the problem in America today to a large extent, Tom, is that we don't have trust and confidence in our institutions because of the corruption on Wall Street and the greed and excess and the cronyism in Washington, D.C."

And,

"I think it depends on what we do. I think if we act effectively, if we stabilize the housing market -- which I believe we can, if we go out and buy up these bad loans, so that people can have a new mortgage at the new value of their home -- I think if we get rid of the cronyism and special interest influence in Washington so we can act more effectively."

John McCain's party, the Republican party in 2008, were the one's currently in power so who else would he be talking about with regards to cronyism? It more or less sounded as if the Arizona senator, was completely over his party's idiocy and imbecilic behavior.

To reiterate, when cronyism takes place it usually means the under-qualified person takes on tasks that are completely unbeknownst to him or her. They aren't prepared for what the job entails because they lack the skill set to attain certain goals, and since they didn't need skills to get the job in the first place -- might as well follow the script, right?

After all, elected government leaders are not in Washington to serve the American people, right? Elected government leaders are in Washington to serve themselves, right? No intelligence needed since the name of game is called "follow the leader", right? And when in doubt follow the script!

Get it? The GOP is a corporation; profit over people; money over morals. They're not elected government leaders fighting for an American just cause, they're elected government frauds fighting to put your money in their pockets at any cost. Just ask Republican Senator from South Carolina, Jim Demint.

Ooops, I forgot. Mr. Demint left congress to join a lobbyist group to make some real money!
