Is BP Waiting for the Well to Run Dry?

It's been 2 months and oil in the gulf continues to leak. BP claims to try new strategies as a means of rectifying the issue, but nothing seems to work.

Does BP know what to do? Shouldn't there have been an emergency protocol guide to follow? It would seem that BP's plan is to let the oil rig run dry, this way they bare no more responsibility on how to stop it. But what about next time, if there was to be another time?

The immediate worry afterwards would be how to clean up the huge oil mess, as well as the wild life surrounding it?

Since BP's strategy of capping the hole didn't work so well, after the rig ceases the spewing of oil all action should be directed towards cleaning up the gulf, and the cost shouldn't matter to BP as they rake in billions annually. If the oil rig didn't falter on its annual inspections and employees were forewarned about unsafe conditions and leaks, maybe BP wouldn't be encountering such issues now?

Oil companies blamed President Obama for moving slow regarding the situation, but President Obama stayed on top of the matter as soon as he found out and ordered BP to fix the problem. After the fact over the course of 2 weeks Americans, discovered that BP spoke erroneously in regards to how much oil actually leaked into the gulf of Mexico.

How in the world did anyone expect Obama to know that BP, didn't know what they were doing?

If you're the head of an oil corporation and something goes
wrong, you and your top engineers would be expected to know how to resolve the issue -- which is usually done during the preplan stages of a business start up; to envision any possible thing that could go wrong during production.

If a black out spread across an entire state wouldn't you expect the electric company to restore your electricity?

Of course you would that's why they're called the electric company! So oil companies blaming the president as if he should be an oil expert, when in fact that is not his field of expertise is completely ludicrous.

Should we remind BP of their previous issues from 2005 in which the status quo, killed more than 11 people and injured more than 180 people? If BP can't follow proper safety protocol should they still remain in business? BP please stop putting profit over people, I've boycotted you since 2008 for this very fact.
