Another Catholic Church Pedophilia Apology

Watching CNN today my eyes moved to the bottom of the screen, and words rolled by that read, "Pope Benedict apologizes for Irish church abuse."

The day before Cardinal Sean Brady, the head of a church in Ireland, made a public apology for covering up investigations surrounding the abusive priest. Sean Brady's office commented, that the Cardinal reported his findings to his superiors and not the police. Pope Benedict was later convicted on dozens of child abuse charges, but critics denounced Brady for remaining silent.
Why is everyone apologizing for the priests' actions except the priest? Can't the priest come out in public at a press conference, like famous golf player Tiger Woods did when apologizing to the world for cheating on his wife?

Forums should be held at Catholic churches to begin positive conversations, on how to resolve this priest pedophilia issue. If it's to be done correctly we might as well start exactly where the issue originated.

In other news reported on the CNN ticker: Argentina approved chemical castration for rapists! Do you think Argentina's law should be invoked all around the world. If I were a guy the thought of watching my penis burn off from acid, would be enough to make me think twice about my actions. Way to go Argentina!
